SATISFY YOUR CHRISTMAS CRAVINGS WITH THESE GUILT-FREE CAKES

This Christmas, let's celebrate with cakes that taste like pure joy besides adding nutritional value; without compromising on that mouthwatering satisfaction, we crave during the holidays.

APPLE ALMOND CAKE

Delicious Apple Almond Cake

This healthy Apple Almond Cake brings festive comfort without the sugar overload—swapping in almond flour for extra protein and moisture, leaning on apples rich in vitamin E and dates for natural sweetness and embracing heart-healthy fats like olive oil.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • ½ cup oat flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 apples, grated
  • 6 soaked dates (blended)
  • 2 eggs or ½ cup yogurt (for eggless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Method:

  1. Mix everything well; pour into a greased tin.
  2. Preheat the oven at 180°C and Bake 30 mins at 180°C.
  3. Top with crushed nuts or thin apple slices.

RAGI BANANA CAKE

Healthy Ragi banana cake (Eggless, Gluten-free, Zero Refined Sugar)

This ragi banana cake contains natural anti-oxidants from Ragi (finger millet), which has 30 times more Calcium than rice or wheat, as well as iron and fiber, supporting bone health and digestion. Bananas contribute potassium, vitamin B6, and antioxidants.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Ragi Flour
  • 5-6 large size Ripe Bananas
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup Walnuts/Pecans/Almonds chopped or crushed - One can add chocolate chips too
  • 1/4 Cup oil or cow ghee
  • 1/4 Cup Lukewarm Water – Can be replaced by cow milk
  • Extra Walnuts or Almonds or chocolate chips for garnishing

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 Deg C.
  • Grease or line an 8-inch round or square cake tin with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl sift the Ragi flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add ¼ cup chopped or crushed Walnuts/Pecans/Almonds and give it a mix.
  • In another bowl peel and mash the bananas evenly with the back of a fork.
  • To the bowl add cow ghee and lukewarm water or cow milk and whisk it for 1 min. The mixture would be nice and fluffy.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet and gently fold the ingredients.
  • Pour the batter in the prepared tin and garnish with chopped walnuts/almonds or Chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Let it cool completely before serving.
