Extensive Care and Feeding Initiatives
Across 45+ animal shelters nationwide, over 70,000 animals, including cows, dogs, monkeys, camels, horses, donkeys, and birds, are cared for, treated for injuries, and provided a safe, nurturing environment. In addition, 700+ feeding points operate daily across the country, ensuring animals are fed and looked after consistently. These efforts reflect a deep commitment to improving the lives of countless animals.
Legal Advocacy for Animal Welfare
With 600+ legal cases fought for animal welfare, including several landmark judgments, significant strides have been made to protect and safeguard animals across India. These cases have set critical precedents, ensuring that animals receive the justice and care they deserve.
Feed A Dog
Dogs are often referred to as man's best friend, yet many stray dogs face neglect and hardship. The Feed a Dog campaign was born out of a tragic incident in 2010 when we witnessed a car hit a dog and drive away without help. This moment ignited our commitment to protect and care for these vulnerable animals.
Our Mission
Feed a Dog, our mission is simple yet profound: to provide nourishment, care, and compassion to stray dogs across India. We operate in all major cities, feeding thousands of stray dogs every day, and ensuring they receive the love and attention they deserve.

What We Do?
Feeding Initiatives
We feed strays at over 700 locations daily, providing nutritious meals that include soy nuggets, eggs, milk, rusk, bread, and biscuits.
Rescue and Rehabilitation
Our team rescues injured, abandoned, sick, pregnant, and orphaned dogs. We provide medical treatment and rehabilitation to ensure their recovery.
24-Hour Helpline
We operate a dedicated animal helpline and ambulance service across six major cities to assist dogs in need. Our trained volunteers are available around the clock to respond to emergencies, whether it’s rescuing an injured dog from the streets or providing immediate medical care
Dedicated Shelters
We maintain three shelters specifically designed for dogs, where they receive comprehensive care and attention. These shelters provide a safe haven for rescued dogs, offering them not only food and medical treatment but also a loving environment where they can recover and thrive.
Adoption Drives
we actively work to find forever homes for our furry friends through social media posts and online campaigns. By showcasing their stories and personalities through engaging content, we connect potential adopters with dogs in need of loving homes.
Community Engagement Programs
actively engage with local communities through outreach initiatives that promote responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering programs. By educating pet owners about the importance of controlling the stray population and caring for their pets, we aim to foster a culture of empathy towards all animals.
Save A Cow
Born from a tragic incident in 2012 when two compassionate individuals witnessed a hit-and-run involving a calf. Moved by this event, they dedicated themselves to creating a movement focused on cow welfare, ensuring that countless others like it receive the care they deserve.

The Reverence of Cows in Vedic Culture
In Vedic culture, cows are revered as symbols of motherhood and life, representing the sacred cycle of existence. They are seen as vessels for souls before and after human life, and their presence during significant events is considered a blessing. Associated with Mata Gayatri, cows embody maternal energy. The hump on a desi cow houses the Surya Ketu Nadi, which absorbs cosmic energies that promote health and harmony. Caring for cows enhances well-being, while harming them leads to disharmony—a truth recognized across cultures.
Historical Significance and Protection of Cows
Many historical figures have championed cow protection. King Prithu saved humanity from famine by milking a divine cow, and Lord Krishna, known as Gopal, is celebrated as the protector of cows. Various rulers imposed bans on cow slaughter, acknowledging their intrinsic value. The first Indian slaughterhouse, established in 1760 in Calcutta, coincided with a devastating famine, underscoring the consequences of mistreating cows. Thus, nurturing and protecting cows are essential for prosperity and health in Indian culture.

Help a Monkey
At Dhyan Foundation, we firmly believe that monkeys deserve to live with dignity and safety. The destruction of their homes by humans does not justify branding them as pests. To address this crisis, we initiated a drive to feed monkeys in uninhabited areas, away from roads and residential colonies. This ensures their survival while reducing conflict with humans.

Habitat Loss and Its Impact on Monkeys
With rapid urbanization and the encroachment of human settlements upon jungle lands, the natural habitats of countless animals have been destroyed. Among the worst affected are monkeys, who are now frequently seen on roads, in residential areas, outside temples, and other public spaces, foraging for food.
Conflict Between Humans and Monkeys
By their very nature, monkeys are mischievous creatures, and their presence often leads to fear and conflict with humans. This has tragically resulted in harmful practices like electrifying fences, stone pelting, and even shooting them down. In some states, monkeys have been declared vermin, allowing for their extermination if found on farmlands.
