purveshaamapi guruh kaalenanvacchedaat
Purveshaam: Of the ancestors

Guruh: Guru
Kaalen: With time
Anvachhedaat: Undivided, uninterrupted, unlimited
Patanjali goes further to illustrate the quality of ishvar,
(That Ishvar) is the Guru of ancestors also, since He is not bound by time, is timeless, eternal
Divine, who is the subtlest of the subtle, was there before time was created. He has no beginning or end; he is older than the oldest ancestors, the source of gyan for all bygone generations.
